Wavebox location in a AGA 180 w/ corner overflows

Okay, thanks for the tips on installing the wavebox. Next question. Due to the location of my overflows, rear corners, do I have to place the wavemaker in a front corner or can it be placed in the middle? If it does not have to be the front corner, how many inches away from the overflow?

I ask because I hate to have the box as the first thing you see. I've seen one installed on a 400 gallon tank and it wasn't so bad, but that is because, well its a very impressive tank that is really wind and the wavemaker is insignficant in size on that tank.

Thoughts, suggestions, experience?

I would mount it in the center of a side panel, shooting out lengthwise.

Just a thought, never tried it would be to add a center HOB (hand on back) overflow box.

Any position on the side where it will get a virtually straight shot with minimal obstruction to the other side will work.

Thanks for the help. I am about 3" from the front edge and it works like a charm. Went w/ magnets for easier installation which didn't require any modifications of the tank lip.
