Wavebox needed?

Hello there and thank you in advance for anyone who can help!

I have the following running in my home:

180 gallon reef tank, Tunze Wavebox in the front left corner, 1 Tunze 6100 in the rear left corner facing the far right front corner (not the middle of the glass), 1 Tunze 6100 in the middle of the right side facing the opposite side glass, and 1 Tunze 6100 in the front right corner facing the middle back glass. For a return I use a Blueline 1750 gph external pump.

Let me say this first...this tanks water is MOVING. LOL I put a turkey baster in the tank to blow off some crap in the rocks and I can't keep the baster still!

Anyways here is my question, since I put the external pump online (yesterday) I killed my wave. I'm wondering if the wavebox is more of a solitary unit and am I just putting TOO much flow through the tank?

In other words, can a ton of water movement other than the wavebox harm the wave? Do I really even need the wavebox with all of my other equipment? Or should I cut back on the amount of 6100's I employ?

Honestly, I LOVE a DSB, and have one...but I CANNOT keep the sand in the front middle of the tank. I don't "seem" to have any pumps hitting the front glass for this reason and also for the reason of not affecting the wavebox as per JarHead.

Can you help me re-position the 6100's or give me any other advice?

Thanks!!!

P.S.

As per Roger, I run the 3 x 6100's in this manner (on a 7095 controller)

Interval 2, 6 hour interval, 3 second pulse, 30-100%

And I do NOT have anything obstructing the wavebox. It has a clear path all the way across the tank. Like I said, it seems to have died when I added that external pump and opened it all the way up.

Also, what is up with the Night Mode? When should I use this? What does it do? And what about the night sensor thingy...I have one on the wavebox and one on the 7095...should I be using these? If so, how?

I'm an equipment IDIOT...but try to buy nice stuff so I have a nice tank. lol I just don't know how to work any of it. :p

And don't worry, I just bought a Tunze Osmolator...so you'll be hearing from me again soon! Real soon.

I would keep the wavebox, if you have a lot of surface turbulence the wave may not be visible on the surface but you should still see its effects under the surface. If the flow is aimed right at the wavebox outlet that could reduce the performance. You might try changing the positions of the 6100's and if possible the return flow so they don't go against the wavebox.
