wavebox on corner overflow???

OK, my tank is 72" long with a corner overflow 30" wide tank the overflow measures 10"x6" has anyone ever attempted to mount a wavebox to a corner overflow and/or would this work?

I really want a wave maker but dont want it in the middle of the side panel due to need for a clear path to the other side of tank.

My current aquascape is pretty much clear in the back of the tank from one side to the other any thoughts???

It will work but it is not ideal, the wave will be shorter in this position.

Do you think it will still do a good job keeping dead spots to a minimum and keeping things suspended ?

If you can get at least a 3/4" wave it should be OK, you will just have to try it.
