Wavebox? Or new Streams?

Jason, your tank is peninsular therefore you want a clear view from all 3 side. I would put the wavebox and 2 pump on the same side of the overflow box. Are you planning on an ext overflow box or if internal how big? With a standard size overflow, you should be able to fit 1 wavebox and 2 stream on the 30" panel. Set your controller on interval 2 and each pump on 1 channel. Your stream will cycle between 30%-100%. I don't recommend placing the pump on opposite end because it will take away the clean look. unless you have a long tank like mine then you don't have much of a choice

Sorry i was not being very clear. I was going to go with the external overflow on the one end. When i was asking about the positions of the pumps I was meaning all on the one end and there position around that end. Like should the wavebox in the middle of the wall with a stream on either side or both streams on one side of the back wall and the wave box on the other or the wave box on one end and one stream in the middle and one on the other.

Does that make more sense i meant to keep everything on the end just not sure once there the best setup for it. Thanks again for all the input.

Ok, i now understand what you are trying to do :D. I would put the stream at each corner and the wavebox is next to one of the stream on which ever side you like :D. Basically you will have stream pump on each side of your tunze wavebox.

Thanks, and i guess if i get the wider tank if i can get the rock piles off center the wavebox could go right in the middle with the streams in the corner.
Thanks again for all the help.

Ok will do. Thanks for taking your time to clarify all this if/when i get my tank i will know how to setup the flow, another checked off the list.

Well all the help you provided me with before is now kind of void unfortunately b/c i ended up with a internal overflow 180g price was the determining factor. It is no longer a peninsular tank and the overflow are approximately 6" from either end on the back wall. The tank dimensions are 72x24x24. There is 36" in between the back overflows and i was wondering for aesthetics if i could put the wavebox attached to the side of one overflow pointing towards the other, so i do not have to have the wavebox on the front glass. I have no idea if that would still provide a wave for the tank.

thanks
Jason

My friend has the same dimension tank with internal corner overflow box. He mounted the wavebox on 1 side of the overflow facing the length of the tank along the back and it work very well for him.

Thanks that is great news, hopefully my square overflows 3ft apart leave enough room for the wave to get going, at least i know there won't be any settling at the back of the tank.

I am not sure that is just what the tank came with, I did not design it someone had bought it and never set it up and was selling for a good price.

Chris/Justin: Good luck with your setups....

Steve: I am in the process of setting up a 100g inwall setup.....Tank is 48x24x20 and will be BB. What would you recommend 2 x 6205 or 2x6105? With two vortechs I would be spending about $760 from a vendor I know and I think I could get some nice wave action....for the 6105's I would be spending about $730 but wouldn't I also need a multicontroller for wave action?

Would a wave box in addition to the 6105's be necessary?

I already have a 6100 with a single controller and was thinking of getting another 6100 and a multicontroller or just save for the new 6105's or get the vortechs. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.
