wavebox or streams?

I was just wondering for a 48x24x24 tank, would it be better to go with one wavemaker or two 6000 streams with the multicontroller?

Interested in hearing the response. I just ordered two 6000 streams with the multicontroller as well. I was also advised to purchase the magnet holder.

For an SPS 120.... I would say you should go with two 6100's on a controller. Possibly add a wavebox when the tank grows in.

haha, two 6100 and the wavebox... that's gonna be expensive. I've been reading most people have been doing fine with just 2x6000. Ifi need more, I'll upgrade the transformer to make it pump at the 6100 level.

Great minds think alike. I was thinking the same thing when I ordered the 2x6000 with controller. My tank is a mix of softies, LPS, and SPS.

On my 120 I use a wavebox and 1 6000. It really just depends on what you like and what you will keep.

iv got a 6000 and wavebox on my 48x24x24 plus 3000ltr return from sump. i only run 6000 through the day at 40x80% on controller plenty of flow beleive me

What's the optimal placement for a wavebox and the 6000? Side by side with the 6000 angled slightly away, or at opposite ends? Should the two run together 24/7 or should the wavebox run at night and the 6000 during the day? Thoughts? Thanks.

I have mine more or less side by side and running 24/7 but you really just need to try and see.
