Wavebox popping up

I've had two occasions now where I've come home to find the bottom of my wavebox has floated up to near the surface and was spraying water out of the tank.

Apparently the box can pivot on the hanger attaching it to the glass, and the suction cup just doesn't seem powerful enough to keep the bottom where it should be.

Anyone else having this issue?
Any suggestions on a remedy?

Thanks
Jeff

I would double check the hanger, the rubber boots are sloped in one direction, place the fat end down. Try placing one of the rubber pieces that look like a flat square with a hole in the middle on the opposite end between the rail and the frame , the lower screw should go through this. Then, tighten the lower screw to absolutley snug before tightening the top screw to where you just get some resistance, then about 1/4 turn more. If you have a snug grip it really shouldn't do this.

Thanks Roger.

Turns out I had one of the rubber gaskets installed upside down. I remedied the situation and tightened as you suggested. Looks like one of the holes was threaded a little off kilter, and the screws don't seem to feed in the same plane top to bottom.

As a safety measure I wedged a piece of LR near the bottom to (hopefully) keep it in place.

I'll let you know if I have any more problems

I could send you the right piece if you PM me the item number from your manual and an address. These pieces are drilled and threaded by hand so it is possible for them to be off.
