Wavebox question

I'm thinking of buying a wavebox for obvious reasons. I have a 90 gallon tank and right now the flow comes from two vortech pumps. I plan on mounting one of the vortech pumps to the right side and placing the wavebox in the back right corner. The overflow is slightly off center to the left. The other vortech will be sold to help finance the wavebox :)

I've heard that the wavebox is less than ideal on a 4 foot tank and that the surge of water can be a bit noisy hitting the overflow if off center.

Any thoughts? Anyone have a wavebox on a 90 gallon tank? Anyone have a wavebox with an offcenter overflow? Anyone use a stream or vortech on the same side as the wavebox?

Thanks

Fred

Corner overflows are the worst, an off center one should not be to bad, just use a Durso pipe.

The wave will be a bit faster than is natural and probably about 3/4" to 1" tall. I used one on my 75 and continue to use it on my 120, both are 4ft tanks.

good question i was thinking the same thing im setting up a 90 and i to got a vortech and i am considering a tunze 6212 i think it would be perferct water flow.
