wavebox stopped working...what should i be checking?

stopped working this morning. the controller is still lit up and showing that it's cycling, or trying to cycle the box.

what should i be checking here? it's still plugged in. not really sure where to begin.

It sounds like either the propeller is broken or the cogs that engage the shaft are broken.

okay, it's not that old. what do i do next? should be under warranty. do i order replacement parts or what?

No, it would be warranty of course but we need to figure out what broke so I can send you that part. Do you have any other Tunze pumps for comparison?

yes, i have two other circulation pumps. i'll try and pull them apart tomorrow. thanks.

The key thing is

Is the shaft broken?

Is the prop broken?

Is a brake shoe missing?

If none of the above compare two stripped down magnets. You will probably find that the teeth protrusions (2 on each magnet 180 degrees apart) that the brakes engage on are broken or wore flat. The magnet would turn but their is nothing to engage the shaft and prop.

okay, finally got a minute to open it up. the white shaft appears to be broken as the impellar fell out into my hand can the impellar be fixed without sending it back? what would cause the impellar to snap off as nothing that big can get to it?

In general i believe stomatid snails cause this. PM me an address and I will send you the shaft piece. Please keep your old prop and remove the screw now, so if it breaks/ is broken I can be sure we get that covered too.
