Waveline dc2500h stalled or stopped working?

I woke up this morning to my waveline dc2500h pump working in like limp mode or something. It was barely moving any water. My skimmer over flowed and flooded my skim section with bubbles. I turned down the pump speed and it started working immediately. Turned it back up to max and it kept working.

When it was "stalled" the pump controller was blinking on the second highest setting. I haven't called the manufacturer yet but was curious if anyone has seen this happen?

Called H2o their claim was that the impeller is/was jammed. How the impeller James when I have filtration before the pump in every possible way I don't know but I guess I need to take my pump apart.
