i just got a reefkeeper elite used from a local club member. what would be a good wavemaker pump to use in my oceanic 70? 36" i want to get away with 2 pumps one on each side...previously i used 2-k2s and 2k1s.

I have doen good witht he maxijet 1200 and Algae free maxijet mod (white prop I believe puts out 2000+gph) and a Reefkeeper 2. 20 second delay between each cycle but I understand the Elite can be shorter? That would be great.

The only pumps that you can control flow rate on are DC pumps such as the Tunze controllable line, Votechs, and the Koralia controllables as well as each has their own controllers and requirements to do so. The Reefkeepers do not have this functionality, they only have on/off(duration). Profilux and Neptune have Tunze capability either out of the box or with an addon depending on the model

The non controllable Tunze such as the 6065 you listed can be used but needs to be ran in no shorter than 15 minute increments or the pump will fail quickly and warranty would be void. Koralias may be able to be ran quicker but not sure the offical specs on how fast can be cycled on off. Fast cycles are hard on a AC propeller pump's motor.
