WCR start of the new year Swap date

Looks like I will be able to make it. Don't worry about adding me to the cars list.

Also are the club shirts going to be available at the meeting?

If it's okay with you guys/gals we'd like to stop by and say hi to the club, we need to drop off a couple of LEDs anyways and if anyone else needs anything feel free to let us know (sorry for the short notice). We'd be happy to offer a 15% discount on anything we do bring up.

We'll probably just come at the beginning and say hi since I know you'll all be busy eyeballing each others corals ;)

Awesome!

In that case, I need to place an order for 4 dimmable onyx for a 240 gallon build (8foot build) with 80 degree optics.

Plan is to have lights hung about 3 inch above a eurobraced tank (even though your website recommends 12"). I want low canopy profile this asking for 80 degree optics (unless you think another LED lens angle is better).

Thoughts?

80 degrees will get you better PAR at the bottom of the tank, but 100's will look better at the top of the tank. Guess the two main questions are will you have SPS and if so where will they be in the tank (ie. mid-level, top, or sandbed), and do you mind a bit of spotlighting at the top of the tank?

Don't care so much about PAR as it will be more a softies tank with "future option" of SPS.

So in that case, 100 degree would be better.

WCR: here is my 3D mockup with 80 degree optics and 3 inch off top of Eurobrace.

Nice drawing. If you're not so worried about PAR then go with the 100's. I'm assuming you'll want 3 of the Onyx to Onyx wires to link the 4 units, will you also need one Onyx to Apex or Onyx to bare wires harness to control the units?

Perfect. Yes, we do take credit I'll bring our Square reader for that. Can you let me know who we should look for?

Hey Ron don't forget to say you're the one without glasses or they might go to Mike lol.

Dude! Are you saying all Chinese guys wear glasses? Hahaha

Actually, unless Mike is bringing a kid we have not heard about... I'll probably be the only Chinese guy+1.

No I'm not saying that bro and I know not all Chinese guys wear glasses.

I thought I saw that Mike was going to the meeting but as far as his +1 it's up in the air.

I saw an interview with the biologist on 'Fish Tank Kings'. He said he doesn't wear glasses, the producers make him wear them on the show.

Perhaps Animal Planet does think all asians DO wear glasses.:crazy1:

Don't you know, it's the unspoken Asian secret. It makes us look smarter... Too bad I don't wear glasses anymore...

I must look dumb. Hahahaha!

I hope someone out there is interested in a piece of rainbow poccilopora. I was just trying to frag off a 2 inch piece and half the colony snapped off, so it'll be a pretty chunky frag...
