Weird swimming pattern, swim bladder problem?

hobbzz

How do I change this?
Picked up these two a few days ago. Since then the domino has stopped eating and started swimming like this. Doesn't matter where he is in the tank in relation to the other clown, he can't seem to keep his head down. No posturing/pairing dances yet. Never does the normal bobbing the head swimming pattern any more. I did not notice any swim bladder issues in the store, and he's obviously captive bred so no possibility of decompression issues, but looks awfully like swim bladder to me. Currently treating the tank with seachem kanaplex. Might add another air pump and then dose prazi just in case. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Sometimes clowns will gulp air when they're feeding on the surface this is probably what happened to your fish. The air bladder needs to release so it will be back to normal. I've heard of a few ways to help them belch it up but honestly don't remember what they all were. I do know one was to release the air from the bladder using a ball pump needle like you use to pump up a football or basketball, I don't recommend this unless a last resort. You can do a search here and see what you come up with. Sorry I couldn't be of anymore help.

Thanks for the response. Hopefully that's it and it will work it's way out. I'll do some looking.

Look up floating bloat. Doesn't really look like that to me. Usually their tail is up and head is down. However this is only my experience. If stomach is sunken then might be internal parasite.

It seem he cannot keep newtral boyancy and have to swim up or else sink to the bottom. I know that coloration is what you want but that is such an abnormal/deformed thus unhealthy fish. Hope he will get better for you
