Weird things on SPS Frag

ive gotten away with only one or two treatments before, but it is probably better to do three just to be safe. to the OP, i too had a hard time getting interceptor without taking my dog to the vet first. i finally found one that i just explained my situation to. they had pity on me and gave me one pill. since one pill will treat 400g i was happy with it. just be sure to reassure the vet it IS for a fish tank, as weird as that sounds to them and good luck.

Thanks! Will give it a try!

I went to the vet that I take my cats to, and explained that there was a parasitic copepod which lives on acropora corals in my tank. They were more than happy to give me a prescription. I ordered the actual interceptor on Drs. Foster Smith by having them fax a form to my vet. He signed the form and then they mailed the interceptor.

That is exactly what I was thinking. Great close-up. I really need to get me one of those. I just have a small crappy digital. I want great photos.

One thing that I found helped a lot before I got my new camera was using a tripod...

It really cuts down on the blur, especially if you use no-flash.

I can tell you even with a tripod a crappy camera is still a crappy camera and it will take crappy pics. It does ok outside but inside it is not good at all no matter what setting I use. I also tried the timer so that I would not even be touching the camera as it takes a photo, still.....crappy photo. I think part of the problem also is the digital zoom. I notice a huge difference between digital zoom and optical zoom. Sorry but I dont mean to get off topic on your thread.

Just posting this as a follow up...

I finally managed to get some Interceptor and did the first treatment last night.

I did half of a pill (51-100lb dogs) for 12 hours.

I'm already starting to see better colour and polyp extension that I've never seen before.

It did not harm my clam, RBTA or anything other than my hermit crabs. But they are easily replacable. :lolspin:

Glad to hear that it worked well for you. :D Like you mentioned, you'll definitely notice a difference in your corals, especially their polyp extension. :)

As many have said, nice pics, great detail!
