Hey everyone i got my clarkiis in yesterday long story and wont tell everything cause its waaaaaay to emotional but there wasnt a buzzer number so fedex didnt deliver it and had to pick it up at 6:30....24 hours everyone in bags and no heater or cold packs. outta the 4 fish and nem and aussie corals....only thing that died was most expensive condes/blackfin fairy wrasse.

anyways i got the clarkiis the male seems to have a bit of hlle but isnt the suppliers fault as he just got them im. just gonna feed them alot and get them to beef up a bit. Also....the female has that brownish tinge but black from far....is there anyway to get the black to pop out more...any dietary, conditions etc to make it more predominant? Also they got blue stripes on them to which is awsome i will have to get a pic of them later on...fed the nem also and it ballooned up more which is always a plus

the nem he said it was h malu, but its crispa for sure. has a yellowish greenish tinge doesnt look dyed but if it was, it was so minor so im gonna feed it alot and baby it to help it get through everything

heres a pic of the nem excuse the cyano bulb is old and outta knowhere today cyano was all over the place changed some flow and its all cleaned up

In my opinion, living in a haddoni will cause them to turn jet black. LTA's don't seem to have the same affect. I don't know about crispa. A good diet and low stress is also very important.

well here are some pics it would take all day for me to get the female outta that nem shes a little in love with it

heres my male in my rbta, she wont let him in the crispa very often so he took it up...she will bounce back and forth and i know hes a little to big for the rbta...if you can see the white spot on the tip of his tail...do you think it will go up to meet the soft dorsal fins and second and third bar? The second bar is starting to make its way over the soft dorsal so i dont know if they will eventually meet. I saw some pics and it looked very nice so im hoping it will continue or maybe hes just special lol

they are alot nicer then the pics show...i am happy with them though

stagefright you got pics of your clarkiis i will let you thread jack lol and anyone else that have clarkiis

Looking at them closer now, especially in comparison to the ones on LA DD, these are not looking like Clarkkis...

they're not saddlebacks at all i can get some pics as they're starting to swim around more...i dont know about sebaes though but i doubt that along with allardis....im still going with clarkiis

They are Clarkii look at the tail. They have a white spot when young. Pretty fish you have! They are very smart they know when YOU get near the tank and can spot a food can a mile away... ;) And sometimes will hide if it isn't you. They can tell. Awesome fish.

They also know when I dip my small saucer in the tank to defrost frozen food. They wait VERY impatiently. :)

They are Clarkii! you can tell by the tails. but here is a pic anyway of mine... When they are little they have a white spot on the tail. Wich is a "Tell Tail" sign. :) And a picture is not even close. We all know that unless you are a super photo person. :) I can imagine tho.

They get really dark from MH lighting. Trust me. Even my baby one is tanning heavily now.

I seriously doubt the Nem has any effect on color. It is lighting IMHO.

i'm starting to notice that there faces are starting to get a little more yellow...will that happen over time or is it one of those things if they have it then it'll stay. They might have been just a bit stressed from the shipping i wish they had more yellow on them but its ok i love them just the same.

Nice pair

They will get more brilliant yellow and darker at the same time. They are young. Give them some time and good lights. Holding tanks don't have intense lighting.

My baby darkened up alot so far after I've had it. The Adult is like 8 years old. The baby is close in color now. But was bleachy when I got him...

i did for a day just to see how they were holding up they had a spot of ich as they were in a bag for 24 hours..they're starting to color up more though...i have a 175w halide and 96w pc actinic.

I'm contemplating bringing this crispa up and getting it in good shape and have it regain its coloration then get ahold of pizza/adhesive anemone, or another type of carpet like elegance said as it will help with coloration.

i like them though they're pretty cool
