Good choice!
The 18-55 isn't too bad especially for the $100 that is cost, but if your looking for another lens definately give the 18-70 D-70 kit lens a look.
JHemdal, the focusing distance of the 18-70 is a tad longer than the 18-55, but the extra reach of the 18-70 makes up for it. Just crop them and you should be able to get some pretty good shots.
