Well I finally got it up and running . I still need to do a few things , but the big stuff is done . I could not have gotten it done , without the help of some very special people . I am very lucky to have so many very nice friends .

Thank you , Mark , Paul , Jae, and Shaw .

wow that is gorgeous! question on switching tanks.....I am going to be doing that in about a month or so. Do you have to let new tank cycle before you transfer everything over? Also did u use the same rock from last tank or new rock? Thanks!

Thank you very much .

I had both tanks running on the same sump , for about a month . I used some of my old rock plus some new Live Rock . I didn't have any cycle,on the new tank at all .

damn ok, I am trying to figure out how I am going to have to do the transfer. Im guess going to have to let the new tank cycle and then transfer everything.

That is one sweet looking setup, awesome job Ted. What month did you say you wanted for the meeting??? lol

Nate , As long as you have room to have both tanks running at the same time , and you slowly move everything over to the new tank , I think you will be alright . Ted

I also want to thank all the people that offered to move the tank , and stand for me .

My wife , and I didn't want anyone to get hurt moving this monster up stairs , so we hired some piano movers . TBRC has some great people as members .

that looks awesome Ted,are those LED's over the tank for lighting?i love your stand, did you make that or have it fabricated?also who built your light fixture?i think i know but have to ask anyway.i glad to see that everything for the most part is done and running.

Thank you Chris .
#1 Yes they are the DIY LEDs .
#2 The stand is steel tubing , and stainless panels . I did not build it .
#3 the hood was built by the same one that built the stand .

can you dim the LED's at all?i know i had some bleaching issues when i first switched over to LED's from my T-5's.if you cant dim them you might want to raise the hood high up or run a real short light cycle, maybr 3-4 hours max for a few weeks then 4-5 hours for a few weeks then 5-6 etc.

Chris , I can't dim then ,and I am seeing a little bleaching , but not real bad . I can raise the canopy , by just pushing a button . I had it up for a while , and I put it down , for the pics .

Thank you for bringing it up about the bleaching . Ted

Great looking setup, that stand and light fixture make my mouth water. Hope my tank will look as good as yours once I get some fish and corals in there.
