Well, today's the big day!

If she is able to go to the January 20th meeting, I'll probably come with her and bring the youngest member, too! It probably won't be long before Jeslynn is staring at the fishies too. Oh, and I'll try to get Eric (the hubbie) to come too. It may be a chore though.. lol I just hope he doesn't get too hooked and start buying stuff for a sw tank! lol We've got a new baby to buy diapers for at the moment!

Well, if she does go the the January 20th meeting I'll probably come with her and bring the youngest COMAS member! lol It probably won't be too long before baby Jeslynn is staring at the fishies and calling them "Nemo"'s. I may try to bring Eric (the hubbie) too, but it could be a task. I just hope he doesn't get saltwater fever and start buying things for a saltwater setup. lol We have a new baby to buy diapers for!

err, scratch the last post. I didn't realize mom was still logged in. 3 people really shouldn't use the same computer...... ;-)

er....uh......now I'm confused, I'll just ignore the last few posts. Then everything will be right with the universe! :D

PICTURES!!

PICTURES!!

Sorry it took me awhile to get the pics up. And I apologize in advance for my poor picture-taking abilities. I'll walk you through what each picture is about.

Here is Sara (Firebug) and Eric (her husband) hiding the tank from Mom (reefgardener) as she walked through the door.

This is Mom reading the card we gave her with all you guys' names on it. Sorry I didn't get a pic of the card. Haha, she was so confused because she had never met the names on it, then it had your screennames with your real names. It was a classic look. Poor Mom, we sent her away to run errands so we could set up her tank, and it rained all day. She's soaked. And it served as quite a challenge bringing up her tank.

She's about to see what her Christmas present is for the first time!!!
Mom029.jpg

Ta-da!!
It was still a little murky.
Mom018.jpg

She started crying... With moms, that can often be a good thing.
Mom031.jpg

Her admiring her tank and noticing everything in it for the first time.
Mom032.jpg

The only coral I knew she liked was xenia. When she saw it in there, she was so excited!
Mom034.jpg

Sorry it's not a great pic. There are two clowns in there and a coral beauty somewhere.

Parked in front of her gift, sipping her tea with the dingo. This is a common site in our house now. Like I said, the first night she had it, she stayed up just looking at it until 3:30am

And another...

She loved it. I'll never be able to top this Christmas gift for her. Maybe for her bday she'll get a sump...

Okay, I thought the pictures I put up were taken by me. But as you probably noticed, the ones that are only 3 ft high are taken by Sheri. Haha, so I apologize for both of our poor picture-taking abilities.

My mom still plans on coming to the January meeting. I'm sure she will try to thank each of you in person.

Thanks again everyone for all of your help!!

That's awesome and this is a great thread, i'm glad i came across it. Best of luck to you and yours!

Oh and whistle, whistle :)

Well, it's too bad you live in PA. There's a guy shortage in Enid, America. Okay, that's not true. There's a shortage of "normal" guys...

Mom is brave for living where she does, lol

You could top that gift next year when Paul W. upgrades to his new 1200 gallon tank this fall.

Just get his 600 and install it while she is running errands.

Oh, does anyone have a goby they don't want? Preferably a Diamond, sand-sifting, sleeper, or something that cleans the sand rather well? My mom and I are both looking for one for our tanks.

Thanks!

Haha! There would have to be errands needing ran in Abu Dhabi for that to get done. Plus she'd kill us.

Please tell me you're joking about the 1200 gallon... Is he??

She may want a sand-sifting star, come to think of it. I don't remember which she said she wanted, but I thought it was the goby. And of course, we'd pay for them. Just let me know if anyone was wanting to get rid of theirs. She also needs some snails.
