Well, today's the big day!

stories about tanks are fun to start. Just think what will happen to Paul W. if Lynn reads this!!!

I wouldnt put a sand sifting goby in a new tank Brook. I would wait a little bit, maybe seed the tank with sand from a mature tank. They need an established food source.

Unless you can find one that is can be shown in the store to aggressively eat prepared foods. Then it's less of a risk. A SS goby will also keep the sand looking clean, which is nice.

I really like dragon gobies (Amblygobius phalaena) quite a bit as they seem to eat very readily and sift nicely. Saltwater Paradise has a nice collection of them available right now....

This is not new sand. And I'm going to let my mom pick it out. She would probably like to pick something out, lol.

Brook,
The only problem with "mom" being a member (as of last night), is that you won't be able to keep secrets. 600 gallon???
Love You.

Shortage of "normal" guys in Enid???? C'mon, I just spoke to one tonight. Well, I think he was normal (he wasn't slobbering or twitching). I also ran across one a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks for joining DeLynn. I'm looking forward to meeting you on the 20th.

JR -that was really quite funny.

She has a point now... we will have to speak in code or do everything in PM. Sure this was a good idea, Brook? ;-) om-may s-iay etting-gay a-ay ark-shay! hehehe

Lol, I think that works in my favor... I had to go to Texas to get my guy. TEXAS!! I hate Texas..

We've got this covered.

FS: 40T w/SSB. Not RR. PCs. Some softies. No LPS or SPS. 2 F. Percs and a CB

I'm not worried yet. Once she can read that, then I'll have to start keeping secrets, lol

lol. mummy dearest is a sharp cookie. I wouldn't put it past her. I have learned to never underestimate her. It is best to assume that she does in fact know everything and has eyes in the back of her head. Don't forget that she can see through her eyelids as well. (we weren't able to get away with much as kids)

Hehehe. Great posts, guys. I do think, however, that mummy dearest is likely up to the challenge of decoding your posts, so be careful!!!!!

She'd be pretty upset if she decoded what I just said. Lol, I put her tank for sale. Yes Mom, it was only a joke. Her tank is certainly not for sale!

And in a sun room, you might be able to use natural lighting!

At The Groom Closet in Enid, they have a green house next to the shop where customers can go in and look. They have saltwater ponds that serve as quarantine tanks. It's amazing. You just look at a little pond in the ground and see clowns, butterflies, mollies, tangs... It's amazing. It uses natural light too. The owner said it's the best system he's used. He's been in SW for 25 years.

Actually I've never mentioned COMAS. Shame on me. I'm usually not in there long enough to talk. I have never bought fish stuff from them (they are a bit pricey). I typically just see what all they have in. Oh, I lied. I've bought halimeda from them a couple times. I should tell them about COMAS. Honestly, (and this sounds bad) I would love for a new fish store to open in Enid and blow them out of the water (no pun intended). We have two shops in Enid and, IMO, they are both slacking as fish stores. Neither place solely sells fish stuff, but caters to other types of pets primarily, and it shows. They overcharge quite a bit, and have neglected tanks most of the time. If a store were to open that had the qualities of say Wet Pets, I'd imagine they would clean up their acts a bit. They simply have no competition. Hopefully they don't read this, lol. Well maybe it would help the conditions if they were to...

Again, this is just my opinion. Maybe I have high standards..
