Got this welso 2weeks ago. Its in low light med flow....in bb tank.
Under blue white led pendents....temperature 78f.

It was ok...but now shrunk a bit.parameters ok.

Haven't fed it. I just feed the dt.
Is this normal. What are warning signals that I have to look for?

try feeding it arround 2 tomes a week if u dont see a change i might move it under a rock shelf where it can still get enough light but not much direct light. Brains can be very Sensitive to led lights.

How to feed ? I don't see feeder in night.

Or put a screen net bet led and dt....like to filter light from led ?

Thanks guys I just fed him when it was dark , frozenfish food as soon as I put the particles in his mouth the feeding tentacles came out the mouth opened. Sucked the food inside. And then he bulged up a bit. Am I supposed to feed him with the lights on or when it's dark?

Coral had 4 mouths, I only fed 2mouths is it ok ?

Thx

i dont feed my wellso and they do just fine. mine like to be an area of low flow, but like lots of light. watch for fish that might nip at the wellso.

other than that pretty easy to keep.

As long as there is no skeleton showing, it's probably fine. It looks great in the photo. These corals (btw, they were reclassified as Trachyphyllia geoffroyi, so they are no longer "wellsophyllia") tend to inflate less when in high flow or high light. If the colors stay on it, but it still doesn't inflate as much as you would like, then I would move it to lower flow. If it starts to lose its colors, then I would move it to a less light area.

Although these corals do appreciate meaty meals, you don't need to feed every mouth as there is some energy passed between the animals.

Also, some corals need up to almost 6 months to fully acclimate to a new tank. Again, as long as there is no tissue recession, it's probably fine.
