Ok i pulled half of the sand out, putting other half in my fuge, I have a calcium reactor, and started dosing kalk to get my PH up , Ph is about 8.2 8.4, Now my water is really crisp but with almost a snow effect, it has been 4 days since i did this my ? is what is the cloudiness or the snow effect ????? Any suggestions

Alk is 10.5
calcium is 430
nitrates 0.02 low end salifert

Is this a reef tank or a FOWLR?
Do you have a HOB filter?
Type of stock?

Sounds like a possible algae bloom caused by releasing nutrients from the sandbed when you removed it.

you said you just started to dose kalk. if it was introduced too fast that might have caused it to precipitate out of solution and you have calcium carbonate floating around.

zotzer is what ill go with, actually it happen to me i belive a few years ago.

Well, I took Kalk Offline-And it cleared up crystal clear- I think too muck kalk with calcium reactor precipitated out-
