wet/dry into refugium

I currently have a 29 gallon tank, and run a wet/dry, skimmer and UV. It is FOWLR. I recently purchased a new, drilled 90 gallon. All of my equipment is rated for 125, so I should be good. (forethought) I want to add a refugium next to the sump. I contructed one out of a 10g, but realized 1-it will definatly overflow when the power goes out 2-siphoning from one sump to another does not work 3-I am very good at breaking glass when I try to drill it. Does anyone have any plumbing ideas for this type pf setup?

the sump has almost the same foortprint as a 10g, but is obviously taller. I want the water to run out of the sump, into the fuge, and get pumped out. I think this will give me the flow I need to keep macro tumbling a bit in the fuge. Gonna ditch the 10g and get a 15g. Maybe acrylic.
