How do I make my Wet/Dry into a sump?

Anybody have pictures?

Too much confusing information in internet ...

Help ... Thanks :)

Can you post several pics of what you have and we can tell you what to do with what you have. That would be the easiest way.

Thanks a lot

This is what I have

Another question .... Should I run it with the bio balls first and then remove them or I can start without them?

1.) Is it drilled for a return pump?
2.) What kind of skimmer do you have?
3.) Do you already have a return pump?
4.) Do you want to do a refugium as part of your sump?
5.) What are the external measurements of the wet/dry?
6.) What size is your tank?
7.) How many drains from your tank?
Please take the bio balls, hoses, lids and other removable stuff out of the wet dry and take another picture from the side.

1. It is drilled
2. Remora .. Need to buy a new one
3. yes
4. what is the better?
5. It is a megaflow sump .. not sure about measurements
6. 92g
7. one

thanks

IMO - I'd get rid of the bio-balls. Are the hoses all from your tank? Looks like you already have your pump attached, but what are all the other plumbing?

More questions:
1.) Are you going to use an insump skimmer?
2.) If you remove the bioballs, can you remove the black piece under the bioballs?

Yes I want to use an insump skimmer, and yes I believe I can remove the black piece under the bioballs.

My husband got to exited and start pluging everything together already ....

These are better pics I hope

First thing...quick...get rid of the bioballs. If you want a fuge also, you need to remove it from under the tank, remove all the non permanant parts, and clean and dry it. Then:
1.) Get some acrylic and extend the second baffle from the right in the pics (the first is the short one by the pump, then the second one is the tall one by the foam) all the way to the bottom. The right 1/3 becomes your refugium.
2.) On the tall baffle to the right of the bioballs, at the level of the maximum line on the sticker, you will need to drill 1 inch holes all the way across, spaced about 1/2" apart. Add an acrylic piece at the bottom of that baffle, extending it to the bottom. The left section, where the bioballs are becomes your skimmer section.
3.) The center section becomes the return and your return pump needs to go there.
4.) If you have only one drain to the sump, you will need to place a "T" in the line and run part of the water to the refugium section and part of the water to the skimmer section.
5.) Add sand and algae to the fuge section, and rock rubble to the far left skinny section where the water goes in.
It sound complicated, but it's quite easy.
