What a difference a few weeks makes.

Jeff your mailbox is full...

yea tomorrow will be fine. ill probably leave here around 10 so i can miss rush hour traffic... judging by the directions i got i should be there between 1045 and 11... leaving me plenty of time to get back (which always seems to go faster for some reason, doesnt it?) and acclimate before my appointment...

actually im supposed to meet Newreefbishop at his job near the Ft. Lauderdale airport to trade some zoos for his tunze nanostream after i pick up the BTA, you think you guys could give me directions from your place to there? he still hasnt sent me the address or anything, but he said it was near the airport.

how goes the hypo?

just wanted to update you guys on the baby... its been in the tank about 4 days... already my onyx was sweeping across the outer tentacles and along the foot area... its attached firmly and has eaten mysis twice...It bubbles randomly (and i literally mean randomly, sometimes in the morning, sometimes in the afternoon, but mostly no bubbles).. the only major problem is that its extending towards my hammer and that is my fiance's favorite coral... do you think itll survive a week or two of random touching with the BTA until i move and can re-aquascape? the hammer is a little pulled in on that side, but nothing looks damaged or dead, yet...

As anemones go, the RBTA is pretty mild. I've had it walk over anthelia, zoanthids, etc. and they were barely fazed. I've had two montipora (grape, orange spongodes) show ill effects after repeated touching, but my big orange cap seems unaffected by it. Euphyllia have a pretty nasty sting, so I suspect he may hold his own, but you can never be sure.

Hypo is going okay. The fish seem to be taking it well, but we lost our purple tang over the weekend, almost certainly to stress - no outward signs of illness or injury. He was out in the open eating in the afternoon, then dead just a few hours later. Bummer, he was a great fish - ate from my hand.

The display is coming back together nicely. I'm very happy with the larger rock pile. It's slightly taller than before, and gives a broader top for mounting acros. I drilled the heck out of every rock so we can easily mount corals to them. The smaller pile still needs to have a few pieces drilled and restacked.
