What additives are you using?

I want to get started dosing some tried and true, proven, successful additives for both color and growth. I have looked into zeo quite a bit, and it seems to be very successful when done right, but it also looks like a lot of work. I'm running an ULNS with non detectable nitrates and phosphates. I know getting these levels up would help but I just cant get them above 0 (salifert test kits). What are you using as additives to help with color/ feeding?

from fuel all I saw was some good polyp extension, it gave me an algae bloom : (
right now i'm dosing coral vitalizer from zoa with success

Get the ultra low range phosphorus checker from hannah. You likely have some phosphate and it is good to know how much. I can have 20-22 PPB on the hannah and still show zero on the salifert. The salifert nitrate through the side is good enough, IMO.

I just change water and let the calcium reactor work with natural media. If the phosphate is under 2-3 PPB, then the SPS can/will outgrow your tank in a few years under good lights and stable conditions.

I'm currently running full ZEOvit. I can't even tell you how SIMPLE it is.

Wake up, shake the ZEOlites, dose 2.3ml of ZEOstart3..
Go to bed, shake the ZEOlites, dose 2.3ml of ZEOstart3, 2 drops of Sponge Power, dose 2ml of Pohls Xtra.

Twice a week, 2 drops of ZEObak, 4 drops of ZEOfood7.

Once a week, 5% water change.

Mind sound like a lot, but this requires literally not even 30 seconds of your time. Water change takes 5-10 minutes.

My corals have crazy polyp extension. My Red Dragon acro is fuzzy as heck at night. It's awesome. I've definitely seen some nice growth and coloration from ZEOvit.

People are often quick to say, Its so much work. It's really not, by any means. Also, unless you have a 500 gallon tank, it's really not expensive either.
