i have a bta and everyone told me to get silversides and cut it into chunks and place in the bta's tenticles but she's not eating it. is ther a certain way to prepare it? she is a medium size bta so i cute the head of the silverside and placed it in her tenticles, and at 1st she curled up like she was going to eat it, and then when she spread back out the chunk was still there. any suggestions?

Let her adjust to the new environment it may take a week or so. it's not unusual, also she may be getting food elsewhere, I feed mine every 4 days or so about 1 CM of shrimp and have had a healthy GBTA for over 6 months now. it's almost 6" across at full size.

I feed my sebae very finely chopped food. Krill, clams, squid, silversides, or frozen formula 1. A different food each time. I just cut it up really good mix it with some tank water in a cup, and feed it with a turkey baster. The anemone never spits it out, and its really starting to grow.

Give it some time too. Anemones take a long time to settle in.

Good Luck!!!

I second the clams. I feed mine saltwater silversides and krill too...but they really like the clams for some reason.

petoonia: What type of clams and squid do you use? Brand name or grocery store? Does it like one better than the other?

I think everything I have is pro salt, I get it from my LFS. My anemone loves the clams the best. Never spits them back out.
