What anemone is this?

All good, we are all here to learn or help, and often learn while helping.
I too generally advocate natural host matches, but not everyone can support a natural host w/ their present systems and an alternative is common, or sometimes fish/nem deaths or other changes can produce temporary situations.
My percs/picasso's are presently in a natural host species Magnifica/Ritteri.

I didn't see your pictures when you first posted, are they your Picasso's?

It's available left right and centre, a quick google will pull up loads of results.

I have heard of some Ocellaris liking it, but never before of a Percula (neither true or false)!

ETA - their dislike for it is in the wild where they have many choices, if choice is limited this would naturally be different.

Isn't a false percula an ocellaris?

Given a choice I would prefer either a false occellaris or a percula over a true occellaris, of course this statement is mostly true, but sometimes false, and that's a fact 5 out of 4 times, or 125% of the time.
Did we lose OP by now??

No idea but you made my head explode.

Anywho. When I purchased this anemone, it was on the sand bed. When I put it in my tank I put it on the rock. I didn't realize it was an anemone that lived in the sand but I don't think it's going to come out of the rock. I fed it a piece if krill yesterday too. I have a green bubble tip in there too that my clowns already host so i didn't get it for that reason I just thought it was cool looking

I would guess malu, but it could be crispa. The column is the best way to differentiate the two.

Dave, I think maroons only natural host is E. quadricolor, I've never seen or heard malus are natural hosts.

Yeah, I actually copied/quoted the sticky above, but my other go to link did state only Clarki.
For some reason my go to link of Fautin Allen is not working, that was a great source for natural matches and ID's
You know how info does vary from one source to another, some could be updated.

Yeah, I have the Fautin and Allen book. I love it. They have E. quadricolor as the only host for maroons. I think they list one error too, though. they say percs are found in crispa, but I have never seen a pic of that in nature.

here is my little yellow malu, it has really bright yellow column
but tentacles are still not very colored
you should be able to see these white stripes on yours also.

That's a great example of the rings I was talking about, though not all Malu's have them or so obvious anyway.
I'm curious how long you have had this?
I have seen some yellow Malu's very bright yellow, I think Orion has/had one, and it's a nice color to add to your tank.

I need to get that book myself.
I don't think there is a single info source out there on anemone's that does not have some sort of mis info or contradictory info, or updates needed, but this source is probably the best one to go by.
