I have 2 small ocellaris clowns in my 20gL im making it a species only tank. What anemone is suitable for them. I know they like Ritteri anemones but they get fairly large and are not easy to keep, a bubble tip will also host to them occasionally i heard with time, how about a sebae? Is this in any way ever heard of?i will try it if it can host. i may wana keep 2 anemones but i dont think i have enogh room,i was thinkin a small sebae and a small bubble.

What type of lighting are you going to have with that 20L? Ocellaris prefere carpets, but they will host in ritteri and sabae as their second choices. BTA are their last choice and some people have goodluck getting ocellaris to bond with BTA and others like myself have not had such luck. If you are worried about the anemone growing too large, try to limit how much you feed it, just make sure it doesnt starve!

My choices for Ocellaris are
1. Carpets
2.Ritteri
3. Sabae
4. BTA

And I have heard that some clowns will even adopt long tenticled corals. Just a though

Occellaris host naturally in Ritteris, Carpets, and sometimes Sebaes in the wild.

They'll host in pretty much anything in my experience.

Mine ditched a stand of BTAs for a huge sebae.

well i have pc's 130w of light ,ive got about 28lbs of rock n some polyps on them.ive seen a really nice small sebae at lfs white with bright purple tips looks nice. I also like the small rose anemones but they can be rather costly.Carpets are very nice but in my cases very sensitive. i worked at a lfs in the past and they always perished only the people with fairly large tanks and MH could keep them well suited. If they are small can i keep both?will this help the pair of clowns and will they host both in the long run? Thanks for the help n info by the way.

with you tank, the sebae would work well. And since you want an anemone that will host clowns the BTA is too chancy. I wouldnt keep two anemones in the tank because in the long run, the clowns may split, one in each anemone and if the anemone isnt large enough, the clowns may kill it or the dominate clown will reject the other clown.
