What are blastos?

I know they are a coral, but what type and where can I buy them at.

Are they a rare coral is that why I can't find any information about them, or is blastos just not the real name.

"Blasto" is slang for the genus name of the coral; Blastomussa. You can buy them just about anywhere now-a-days. They used to be harder to come by, but now are quite common. There are many color variations available, and some are harder to come by, so they will fetch a higher price.

Well with the internet and overnight shipping you can get them from where you're sitting actually. Check out the sponsor's forums http://reefcentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=78 or make a day out of a LFS safari and visiti some local shops.

In my experience blastos are very easy to care for and make a good beginner coral, especially when one considers their awesome colors.
