I have a zoa that has grown nicely on its disc and I would like to stick it onto my live rock. I also have an sps that started to whiten so I want to cut off the good parts make frags out of that.

So what are the basic tools needed to do majority of fragging? Looking at the many complex fragging kits that some places sell, people would think Im performing surgery!

Links, pictures, brands, would be appreciated!

Thanks!

dremel with diamond cutting bit, bone clippers(lg and sm), an exacto knife+blades, a pack of fresh razor blades and some super glue are all in my fragging "drawer"

no, but once your fragging quite often the will come in VERY handy. absolute musts would be a pack of razors(they go dull and rust in about 20 min.if you dont rinse in fresh water and dry immediatly), a pair of bone cutters/nippers and some super glue

Okay. So some glue, clippers, and razors. That's it right?

Any brand suggestions? Or specific tools? What kind of glue is best?

any cynooacrylate(sp?) will work. I forget where I got my clippers, but there all pretty much the same, any pair will do as long as they are clean and sharp.

Ah ok, so I don't need all that extra that is promoted in a "fragging tool kit"

Thanks! Does the glue have to be water safe?

Don't forget gloves. Many corals and zoas secrete toxins.

A couple of tupperware containers to hold tank water and new frags.

Also, a really cool wife that understands that it is necessary to have all this stuff out on the kitchen table.

Heres my collection of fragging equipment. I like the above recommendations, the only thing I would add are some safety glasses or a face shield... because sometimes stuff squirts.
