what are the best test kits that can measure up to lab tests?

I was going to buy some saliferit test kits but read they aren't that good anymore, the older threads that dated 3 years back said they were great but the recent threads many said they had problems. So I'd appreciate it if anyone knows what brand can match up to the real deal. TIA

i have some Elos kits.. they are great.. but they are not specific.. ie Mg is done by the 100's and Alk has no decimals...

I have had good results with Salifert test kits, as far as I can tell. There have been a couple of bad batches of alkalinity test kits recently, though. The batch numbers are available. Every brand of test kits has problems reported from time to time. LaMotte and Hach make some nice high-end kits, though.

how accurate are the elos test kits? I was considering those aswell.

so far they seem accurate.. but you can only tell your alk as 8 or 9 or 10... it does not do decimals... ( unless you double up on reactant but that can get expensive)

and MG is done by 100's.. ex 1100 or 1200 or 1300...
