What are the coolest tabling acros out there

I'm starting a little 42 gallon all tabling acro tank. I just got into sps and don't know about all the different types of acros that table.

I just got a red planet frag which started everything off. Are there any other aquacultered tabling acros out there?

What are some of the more common tabling acro names (scientific) that I could search for?

i posted the pic that inspired me below.

I am planning to have only one rock in the tank. how should I go about glueing all the frags on? Should I glue them on the sides of the rock so they grow up and away and one on top? I dont know how acros tend to grow so if I could get some input on how I should space them out that would be great!

thanks for the help

I read on here about a week ago that someone said all milli's table... food for thought (and even if they don't they look amazing).

And to answer your question specifically, acropora efflorescens.

And the other question: sps tend to grow how the flow dictates.

Only one rock? How big is this tank... or how big is this rock? :p

I agree, Efflo. Any suggestions for where to buy them? I've had a lot of trouble locating them.

Also, if anyone has any of the more vibrantly colored ones they'd like to sell, please feel free to PM me!

That was my thread linked above there. I requested two efflos from a vendor, and they came through for me. Another member was selling the same size efflos for 150, but this vendor got me two for $55 each. I haven't gotten them yet, but will be here soon.

Also, check out the ORA Red Planet if you are looking for some bright color. I have a 2-3 inch frag that I got about a month ago that is growing pretty well.

IMO, you can't beat the green base with bright red.

thanks everyone, you've been really helpful

what kind of acropora is the paletta blue acro because in these pictures it looks like it kinda tables. idk if thats something that only happens in certain tanks

take a look at the pic below and tell me what you think

Beatiful tank but 90% of them are wild colonies and survival rate past that picture is slim to none.

funny you say that as in Aus we majority (99%) get wild and in tanks with correct params can flourish for years. I agree however that frags are much heartier.
