What are the negative effects of high Mg?

I tested MG last night with the Salifert kit. Level was off the chart (above 1500).

Calcium was at 370
Alk 9.2

What ill effects (or any effects) will an elevated Mg level generate?

I'd get a true reading by adding a second syringe of titrant and adding the values together. Up to 1600 ppm is unlikely to be a problem, although I'd allow it to decline.
