What are these eggs?

I posted in the breeding forum, but got to thinking and realized a hermit crab would probably shelter eggs underneath her tail in her shell, not lay them exposed on a rock. That is, however, a blue-legged hermit crab sitting on top of them.

Snail eggs? I have cerith, nassarius, and nerites from reefcleaners.com

Ok, this is actually a snail. I saw a striped antenna or something the first time I sat there watching and assumed it was one of my 5 hermits. One of them has a green shell like this.

This is a cerith snail, correct? It is still laying eggs, I can see them coming from the shell now. I hope this picture shows them better. The eggs are clustered together in groups of 4 or more all in a line.

Yeah, I believe that's a "Dwarf" Cerith snail. There is another Cerith snail that is sold in CUC packages too, (a little bit bigger) but the egg mass looks a little different. Either or though what your seeing is definitely a good sign. :)

Well, I'm pretty happy. I moved everything (no fish yet) from a 29 gallon to this 60 tank 11 days ago. I was worried they wouldn't survive the inevitable cycle and then I saw this today after I finished checking my parameters. I was already happy that it finished cycling so I can add a fish next time I go to the city. This is just icing on the cake.

Has the tank cycled yet? Eggs like this are good, but it might be a last hoorah if you know what I mean. A last resort in other words. (things aren't pristine)

My 30 gallon was cycled, and then I moved everything over when I got a free 60 gallon. It did a mini cycle. NO2 got to 1 and NO3 was 40 two days after the move but both went down and tested 0 on Wednesday and 0 again today. It will be at least a few weeks before I get fish.
