i know this info was once around in the past and i see alot of people asking in seperate sections in this forum as to what the best fish to keep in a zoa/paly tank. so in the hope of keeping the info alive lets share:beer:

What is your favorite or most prized fish to keep in your Zoa/Paly Tank and why?

i will be the first to answer!

my favorite fish would have to be my Mystery Wrasse, Yellow Corris Wrasse, and Six Line Wrasse.

reason for this is i love this fish genus in general, the way they swim, the way they react when you walk by or feed the tank. they always seem to flash there fins for me and when i stare into the tank they like to stare back at me like they are saying HI! but best of all they play a vital role in keeping nasty critters from destroying my zoanthids. the absolutely best fish in my eyes to keep in a zoa/paly tank is a wrasse.... in paticular the Corris genus

so enough about me and what i think. lets hear what everybody else thinks and what you love in your tank.

I'll bite, I have a pair of Clarkie clowns, scooter blenny and a Pacific Pygmy Angel, the usual other stuff being snails, blue leg hermits and an emerald crab.

I love my yellow wrasses. I have two, each in different tanks. They have a great personality and neither bothers any of the other fish in those tanks.

I love the classics a pr of clowns,But you can't beat a six line just the way they weave through the structure brings more depth to scape.

i have a mccoskers wrasse, yellow assessor(Mr. A, my sister named him "cause of the A-word") swalesi basslet(call him CC cotton candy), and HAD a dracula goby(van helsing r.i.p.). My swalesi is by far my favorite, he's my buddy, hes shy but will come out for me. Close second is the assessor - weirdest fish ever. My fish are my babies, they make it all worth it. zoas are awesome but not much interaction lol I need my fish

wrasses,i have a yellow in my frag tank he is the best.the only bad thing he does is dig around in the sand bed a little but no one is perfect.

Maybe I behind the times...lol, but a cheezy as it may seem, I like my Royal Gramma, The Splash of Yellow and Purple really goes well with all the different colored Zoas, at least in my opinion...They don't get big, they don't disturb the Zoas, and mine stays out in the open quite a bit...I like them:)

My McCoskers Wrasse as a colorful swimmer...
