It has been doing grate, but newer shown any colours.
I've recently put up a new tank and I'm hoping it will colour up,
but to what?
and is there something I could do to help it take colour?
Well every coral is different. Just because someone may have something in the morph doesn't mean it will develop the same colouration. You can try moving into a higher light location or try to feed it at night if it puts out feeding tentacles. Maybe try to entice it to feed by squirting some food over its surface at night with the pumps off, do this for a week every night and see if it will start putting feeders out. I purchased a browned out chalice from the LFS and it ended up turning into this in about 2 months:
I feed it a mixture of brine shrimp, pe mysis, rotifers, and cyclopeze. Turns the pumps off, scare the inverts away and lightly spread the food across the feeding tentacles with a pipette.
I have a Tyree LE Blue Chalice (E. lamellosa) that was a pretty chrisp blue when I got it. I put it in high light and it browned out. After getting some advice, I put it in low light on the sand bed and the chrisp blue color came back.
