What corals next to RBTA?

Yep, the title says it all. What corals can be placed next to a RBTA that likes to expand during the day? Is that anything that can tolerated the touch?

Every coral I have ever had that has come in contact with a BTA becomes irritated. It is best to keep them apart.

I have kept Devil's Hand Leather and Nepthea (or Singularia) next to my BTA's. They do not like it but they don't die and they expand just fine when the BTA's retract. Most everything else, mushrooms, xenia, zoos have dissapeared when they were too close to BTA's.

Be careful with leather corals, especially in small tanks. They give off lots of toxins. I used to have a 3" leather toadstool in my 34G that was so potent, it was causing a colony of zoanthids (which are tough corals) that were a good 6" away from it to bleach and shrink. They began looking better within days after the removal of the toadstool.

IMO, in answer to the original question...NONE. I've had an RBTA kill a Leather Toadstool. Took it awhile, but the entire leather, which was about 14" tall and had a cap of about 12" in diameter, died. It started with the RBTA just burning a hole in the stalk.

Agreed. If the BTA doesn't win then I would think it is weak, unhealthy. The last thing you want are corals playing chemical warfare and anemones sending out nematocyst in your tank. I would keep them apart.
