Hard to tell because I do not have a good light over 40 breeder QT tank, but I see a white spot on the caudal fin and one pectoral fin. Think it is ich and not bacterial. What level of curpamine is safe for CCB and how would you ramp up the dose? I have not used this before as I usually do tank transfer method for ich. The fish is eating like a pig right now, so I have that on my side.
Thanks.

I recommend tank transfer over copper or hyposalinity. Depending which brand of copper the concentration is different. And the test kit should match the brand.

Steve, I have a couple of 20 longs I could do a ttm. My concern was injuring the CCB during transfers as he just looks so delicate. I would be using the seachem cupramine with seachem test kit, it I went that route. You do not see any issues catching the fish during transfers? That would be my preferred method also.
Thanks for your help.

Cupramine dosage is .5 ppm. Seachem specifically states in their literature that cupramine can accurately be tested using any Cu test kit. I find the Seachem kit more difficult to read so I opt for the Salifert.

Remember to ramp up slowly rather than get to the desired concentration immediately. I always prefer TT.

Wrench, thanks for the information. Steve, I decided to go ahead with TTM. Just got him in a 20 long tonight. Will start the clock tomorrow. He was actually quite easy to transfer so I am not hesitant now. Wish me luck.
