Is Prazipro reef safe?

It's the only med I'd ever use in a reef tank, it will kill feather dusters, though. I agree with, Deinonych , there seems to be black ich. But, judging from the pale color, dark splotches, and overall appearance of the fish, I think there is more than black ich bothering it. Do the pics do a fair job of showing how the fish actually appears?

I have a scopas tang, yellow tang, Mimic Tang and this Powder Tang- I have been treating with Kick Ich because of a major ich outbreak in my tank. Not sure what is actually happening. All my water levels are great, but having the bad infestation of ich is killing. Any suggestions on what I can do since I have a reef tank, should I break down my tank and freshwater dip them?

Kind of difficult to catch since I have tons of live rock in there. But will break down if its best to treat them outside of the DT.

I also lost my vlamingi yesterday- could ich have caused it?

Kick Ich is not an effective ich treatment. There is absolutely no way to cure ich in a reef tank; although the market is flooded with products that claim to do so. You need a big QT/HT or even Brute containers and treat with Cupramine or Chlooquinine Phosphate (hard to find). Your DT must stay fishless for 12 weeks to wipe out the parasite. Black ich is a minor ailment compared to crypto (marine ich). You're experiencing the inevitable consequences of not quarantining all new fish. Curing ich in a tank like yours is a miserable job, I've done it....but only once. Sure, ich probably killed your vlamingi tang and it is capable of killing any fish. Ich is often taken way too lightly until something like this happens. I'd read the opening posts of the ich stickies above, written by Snorvich; understanding the parasite is vital. FW dips are useless with ich, the parasite is buried too deep.
