What do I do now?

I bought a euro Reef CS8-3 skimmer and unfortunately I fear it will be just slightly too tall. I tried the day after I placed the on-line order to change to the CS8-2 but they told me it had already been shipped (now that is fast). The package is due to arrive today. What is the best course of action to swap out the 2 skimmers?
