what do i need for 10 gal

i want to do a fowlr tank with my clown pair for my sons room. i plan to use live sand from my big tank and lr from same tank. i have a back pack filter,heater and lights. do i need a protien skimmer? the tank is a freshwater set up with hood and light. do i need a pclight for a fish only or can i use bulb that came with tank? and do i need a pwerhead for it?

If you can keep it simple I say do it...you can probably just use what you have - no need for the skimmer, an extra powerhead, or specialized lighting.

However, if you do use those things you can do a lot more than just the clownfish....

Can easily be done. No skimmer needed either.

no skimmer. just do 25% water changes to keep things in check.

I agree- instead of a skimmer do regular water changes and keep the lighting on the low side.
