what do i need to know?

i'm thinking about ordering a couple of croceas from "premium aquatics", they seem to have fair prices and the shipping won't kill you, my tank is 7 months old and very good water parameters i run actinics for ten hours and twin 250w mh's for 4 hours towards the end of the photocycle.
in other words actinics go on at 1pm then mh's go on at 6pm then mh's off at 10pm then actinics off at 11pm then blue lights on at 1am and off at 3am.
i know they need feeding when small, although i'm leening towards ordering in the 3 inch range.
any info appreciated.

Sounds like you're off to a good start. I personally would up the MH time. Other than that, you need to monitor all water parameters and keep them rock steady....especially temp, salinity, CA, and ALK. Other than that, you must have fish that are compatible with clams. Good move on the 3+ inches too!
