what do you do with dead fish?

As ACBlinky said, that is quite poor business on their part. Working at an lfs, I remove any dead animals immediately upon seeing them. Also, any diseased animals are immediately removed to quarantine. A self-respecting lfs (and, consequently, their employees) will make sure any potential problems are taken care of.

I used to work for an LFS and all of our deads were frozen and then taken to the vet and cremated. Some LFS will let people drop of large ones that can't fit in the toilet.
I read in one of my books that it's bad to flush a fish because it can spread disease. Does anyone know if that's true?
