What do you do with your top off water?

I was wondering of I am doing this correctly. I keep a 5 gal bucket with a lid in my sump that holds my RO/DI water. I am running an air pump and stone to aerate the water. I add sea buffer to the water and thats it. I have hookep up a flaot switch in my sump with a pump in the bucket to send water to the sump. I was wondering if i am doing things correctly or am I missing a step.

That sounds fine, although I wouldn't bother aerating the water. What is the buffer product? If you're supplementing an alkalinity buffer without adding calcium, that can be an issue.
