What Do You Feed Your Tomini Tang?

I've had omni or carnivores until now. My new Tomini is in quarantine and eating well now after a shy start. It definitely eats better when the room is dark as it can't see me. It's still a little shy but is becoming less so every day. I have been feeding it three or four times a day to get it used to me and the food. I started with what the LFS was feeding it...cyclopeze. Now it mostly ignores cyclopeze and eats Spectrum Newlife Thera +A pellets which is mostly krill and herring, algal meal and veggies plus garlic. I also offer O N Spirullina flakes, ON Pellets and TetraMin Tropical Flakes. I switch these around throughout the day. Once a day I add dried fortified algae on a clip. After a few days it went wild for that. How much algae do people feed on the clip daily? I use about a 1 inch piece doubled. It's gone pretty quick. I have home made ziplocs of blended shrimp, oyster and clam with some cyclopeze, pellets and seaweed mixed in and selcon but it won't eat that since it's mostly meat. This is what the DT inhabitants eat. I guess I will have to offer two types of food once it is in the DT.

What foods are other Tomini Tang owners feeding?

My Tomini eats everything I throw in there, but I'm careful to feed Nori every day and sometimes twice a day. I have four fish that eat it, so I feed about the same amount as you, a 2" square piece doubled over and cut in thin slices to about a 1/4" from the bottom, where the clip fastens it. There are fewer instances where big chunks are torn off and lost to the overflow when you cut it into strips. Here's a short video to demonstrate:

That's a good idea to split into strips. I will offer it my frozen mix again now that it is eating really well.

It ate my frozen mix this AM. Yay! I threw some in after the spirullina. Where do you get Nori? I can only find the usual Algae packages in the food sections of various aquarium online stores. I am buying an Apex so preferably a place that has both. I find the search functions on most of these sites is not very good.

I've been buying mine at a chain pet shop, Petco, if I remember correctly. But, I've read that you can get it far cheaper at an asian market, as long as you read the label carefully to be sure there are no preservatives or additives. I intend to try that when I run out of the current batch.

So do you mean the seaweed sheets? I haven't found anything that says Noori on it. I found two types at Petco and then there's the usual Ocean Nutrition green seaweed that most fish supply stores sell and that's what I have. I saw red and brown seaweeds as well.
