What do you have?

Yeah Jabo I just picked him up at Kermit's last week, euphyllia seem to love my tank.
I got the wife to OK black sand in the new tank with the Rose and Clowns im so excited!

Mako - OUCH! And I thought my working nights plus classes in the AM was a hectic schedule(if anyone wonders why my posts are predominately at odd late/early times).

Rudolph - My name is Nick. AKA, the guy always in the LFS asking a bunch of questions and rarely buying anything. I have some pics of the tank that I still have yet to pull off my camera(did I mention crazy schedule and getting easily sidetracked?) I have none of those frags I mentioned... It's more the frags I'm in the market for. :/ The chalices, interestingly enough, were a coral I once didn't really have much appreciation for, but after digging through the web, they have greatly grown on me, and the overall LPS scene has replaced many of my early reefing SPS aspirations... Though I still wouldn't mind picking up a few more SPS pieces to keep my lonely acro some company. ;)

P.S.
Sky - enjoy spring break ;) Next time I come down there I'd love to see the setups, and see this new store you mentioned. Blake from the old store calls me from time to time, I think he's back up this way these days... He had a decent tank set up last I saw. Do you ever make it to the baseball games? We have a left field lounge out there that I've yet to touch this year. :(

I am on the island with Sky and I still have my 90 and my 8 is finally looking good again . I miss being close enough to Memphis to be active in the club .Actually Sky is in Starkville and I am in West Point which is even more "saltwater free" than Starkville . I have seen Sky's set ups several times and he really has it going on ..he has a really nice frag tank going too . I enjoy going over there just to "lust" over his frags...lol
Oh and I do have a name ..it is BJ to most friends and Betty Jane if I am in some sort of trouble..lol

Since I'm a grad student I hardly get a break but the advisor is out of town so thats nice anyway! You're certainly welcome to stop by whenever you're in town. It's always nice to meet another reefer. The new store isn't much YET, he's still working on the sumps for his livestock tanks, but I think I've convinced him corals are worth the extra effort.

No, I've never made it to a baseball game. Admittedly, I get bored very easily by baseball.

BJ - Just got back from Jackson. Traded a small cooler full of frags for a dual media reactor, phosphate remover, biopellets, an mj pump, and 6 frags including a cool encrusting pavona, blue dictyota macro, chili pepper monti, red monti cap, and two kinds of chalices (orange and red/blue). It was a good day! :)

Jon: Didn't know much about torch corals so I looked them up as I like the way they look. My quick research says they can be moderately challenging...you agree? It also says they can sting you.....not sure I like that...

Can you ID the rest of the corals in your pic....I recognize several of them, but curious about some others?

I actually made some pics today, but will have to remeber how to post, maybe tomorrow.

Okay, cannot sleep tonight so here is a pic from my 28 cube. It started out as my frag tank, then my wife said it was really looking nice so I bought another tank for frags and cleaned this one up....currently I have added some more ricordea and have them scattered around after glueing them to some rubble. Will rearrange probably next week and take out a few remaining oddball frags to clean it up for a more finished look.

Hey my name is David, im in Memphis. I have a torch I need to get rid of :fun5:

Oh, and that baseball sized zoa rock on the frag rack is FS/FT

Any local meetings coming up soon?

My torch is too easy to care for, as long as it likes the amount of flow (low/moderate). It's starting to just get too big. Oh, and mine doesn't sting me.

you can cut a few heds off the torch and give them to other people. Your torch will be small again.watch it grow all over again!

Article I read below seems to think they can sting humans....TheSea.org

Torch Coral care is considered moderate amongst aquarium enthusiasts. Torch Coral care can be complicated due to the long sweeper tentacles that can sting other marine aquarium invertebrates and can also sting humans that get too close. The stings are usually only minor, and the reaction should go away after 24 hours.

I started out with a 29g a little over 2 yrs ago. About 2 months ago I bought Jay's 150g setup. Mostly SPS but some lps and some of my rare zoas from my 29g. I will try to get a current pic maybe tomorrow.
