What do you think about the IO salt thing??

Well I guess I am OK then because I have been useing Reef Crystals for a long time. When they first came out I had been useing IO and like it, and because Reef Crystals were made by IO I thought I would try it. It works great for me and my sps.

Be careful guys - every time there is a salt study people run around switching salts and there usually are massive problems. When the last one came out people switched to Oceanic and had bleaching events - assumedly it was from the act of switching.
Anyhow, we have only seen preliminary data, and acting on preliminary data is often a mistake. :D

Well going from one,IO, with calcium in the low 300's ppm range, to one with calcium in the high 400's range (Oceanic) it's no surprise, especially for those who do large water changes (25%+)

I noticed on the steinhart tour they had bags of Calcium Chloride(??) piled almost as high as the instant ocean bag. Along with that I'm sure they had other such chemicals to tweak the final product to their liking.
Yep, calcium and magnesium. Same like what peeps do at home when using IO ;)
