I am looking at a Kessil a350w x 2. This is for a Haddoni nem tank 20 inches deep 48 wide. Will this light be a good choice for LED's or is 250 watt halides still the best way to go.
Thanks
I think the a350w would be a good replacement for a 250 watt halide in both performance as well as appearance (I personally think the Kessils replicate the look of halides the best out of any LED). Depending on the width of your tank, you may get a better bang for the buck with the standard a350 (instead of the a350w).
Hi, I think I will need to use the wider led because the tank dia are 48l x 20h x 30w, or do you still think the standard lens leds would work best.
thanks for your input
I would use the wider one because you do not need the penetration on a tank that shallow. Also if you focus it more you will have a harder time acclimating the livestock (nems/corals) because of the focused beam. I think it will work fine if you go with the 350's but I am not a fan of the 150's.
