What do you think?

I have a 29g biocube that's been set up about a year. I currently have a black perc clowfish and a firefish that have been in there together for a few months now. Do you guys think I could add a six line wrasse without problems...worth a try?

Thank you. I was unsure because I heard they could be a PITA. The clownfish wont fight? I heard they get too territorial if not added together. Another choice I was considering was a royal gramma..thaughts on that too please?

Agree, I had a sixline with a fire fish and clown. Sixline did not bother the clown at all, but he always chased after the firefish.

gramma tend to be aggressive too. If you add a small clownfish (like 1") the other one should accept it.

Royal Gramma is another bully.
My suggestion: an Orchid Dottyback. Make sure it's the Red Sea Orchid Dotty.
The very similar looking Strawberry Dottyback is not a good choice.

Even with an Orchid Dotty you run the risk of the Firefish being bullied.

I started the same way. Bad combo. Firefish = wuss. Clown = richard. Our tanks are glorified buckets. Poop goes in, doesn't want to come back out. If you must, I'd go with a pair of clowns. I find many nano fish much more appropriate. The classic clown pair is hands down the most popular option. I'd resist the urge to overstock. A pair plus shrimp goby pair is a full house imo.

I have to agree with all that too.

Tank too small (IMO) for most dottybacks or a wrasse of any type- if being kept with Fire fish that is in it already especially!

Fire fish even in a very large aquarium need it to be a "quiet" aquarium. so to speak.. With no aggressors and tank mates mild mannered enough to allow the fire fish to be comfortable. Plus not have too much competition for the food. Otherwise they will hide, become stressed and then possibly decline.

I'd look for a peaceful species of small fish that will not have interest in bothering the fire fish or see it as a threat/competition or thing at all that could care less about. There are some fits with careful research...

Thank you all. Ill so some research on small peacful fish fit for my situation. I wasnt planning on adding anything other than the fish im trying to find now so I dont think it will be over stocked.
