What do you think?

I currently have a Banghaii cardinal and an occelaris clown in my 29g reef. I want to plan out my next (and last) two fish. So I can get them in and established so i can focus on getting my corals! I was thinking of an orchid dottyback, they are reef safe, not as aggressive as a purple dottyback, and beautiful. My last fish I really wanted to do either a six line or a yellow Coris Wrasse..Whatcha think?

Have have an ORA orchid dottyback and he is pretty aggressive. Although he was the first fish in my little tank. He might not care about the clowns and cardinal though as they are pretty different as far as shape. Mine didn't like a little flasher wrasse I added but didn't seem to mind the clowns.

6 lines are the devil. I would much prefer the yellow canary or yellow and purple -more white but gets the purple hue (I have this one in my large tank).

Maybe ill completely rethink the dottyback, go with the yellow canary Wrasse last...so what to add as my third fish is the question lol

Here's an updated hypothetical stock list, what's everyone's thoughts?

Currently...
Occelaris clown
Banghaii Cardinal

Planning to add...
Royal Gramma
Green Clown Goby
(possibly a small wrasse as my last fish)

Thoughts?

I've got good filtration. So maybe I will go with the royal Gramma and clown goby, and scrap my Wrasse idea all together :(

Oh yeah, I've heard those stories as well. This is my first nano reef, so I'm probably not gonna do many SPS, if any at all

Ok just passing that on. Thats why I didnt get a clown goby. Cute little guys but not worth it for my SPS collection

you should be good with that if your not gonna keep SPS. I had a yellow one and he was a little nipper.

Im taking it slow, gonna stick with my easy softies and start getting my feet wet with lps..I got the candy cane and its doing great...think I've decided on a green clown goby for definite! Now just need to figure out my swimmer...royal Gramma is the leader for this category so far lol...but its early yet

Keep in mind that the grammas do come out into the open, but like caves and overhangs as well so they are sort of half shy half not if that makes any sense. With a calm peaceful tank they may come out more (like yours) as opposed to a large busy tank.

Very true. My royal gramma has his spot of prefence and the rock he likes to hide and sleep in but generally he is all over the tank and doesnt get territorial with other fish unless they are too close to him.
