I have had two tanks set up for about 2 1/2 months and just combined them into one 60g over the weekend. On a few (maybe 3) occasions I have heard a clicking noise from the tank. It sounds like it would sound if you tapped the glass with a ring. It will only click once or twice and then I don't hear it again all night. I haven't noticed any livestock missing (snails, crabs or fish) but i am somewhat concerned. If it was a mantis and he was eating livestock would it leave large fragments of snail shells behind? Is there anyway to know for sure? I never heard any noises from my two 30g tanks and I have used the same lr. However, I did once notice a puff of dust from one of the rocks but upon examination I found nothing.
